Viorel Bot Obituary

With heavy hearts, we make known the passing of Viorel Bot. A devoted husband, father, brother and friend has passed away peacefully and pain free after a 5 month long battle with Stage 4 Pleomorphic Sarcoma Cancer. He gave his all for the fight of his life and will continue to be our hero that lives in our hearts forever.

Viorel was born on October 20th, 1960, to Pamfil Bot & Maria Bot in Surduc, Romania. He was also the eldest brother to Marianna Ionutas and younger brother to Ioan Bot. In April of 1991, Viorel took his first steps on American soil and later proudly became an American citizen. With his determination, strength, and faith in God, he gave it all to create the ultimate American dream he always envisioned for himself as a child. The dream to come to America.

With his family’s primary residence being in Irvine, California, Viorel and family frequented their mountain home located in Big Bear Lake to enjoy the beauty of nature surrounding them. Although his home was in Orange County near the beach, his heart and soul found peace being near the mountains. He always said Southern California was the best place in the world as you were by the beach and snow within a 2 hour proximity, another dream he always aspired for and achieved.

Viorel was known as a true patriot, a man who admired this country as the land of opportunity and worked hard to provide a beautiful life for his family. He loved his job as a machinist for Ports America and enjoyed being outdoors working on projects at home, in the mountains or anywhere in between.

He was a man of his word, an incredible voice of reason and a man whose determination for life was unmatched. He always believed in living a life of happiness and purpose and consistently encouraged his girls to set goals and reach for the stars. He was a man of patience and persistence and was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Our family will never be the same, but he will continue to live in our hearts forever until we meet again. We love you.
