Miriam Helen Stokley was born in Dubuque, Iowa on 9-16-1940 she grew up there as a child where she acquired the nickname Micki from her grandmother, which she went by to all who knew her. She moved to southern California when she was a young teenager, a few years later she met and married Norman Stokley in 1961 to whom she had one child Ronda Lynn, after many years of marriage they divorced in 1979. Although they both eventually remarried, they remained very close throughout the years continuing to be part of each others lives until Norman passed away on July 24,2013.
Although she had no formal education she had worked many different jobs including working for a painting contractor, she eventually went on to obtain her own contractors license and started her very own building maintenance company called Certified Building Specialist which she successfully ran for many years until retiring in 2005. She was a friend to all especially animals, she owned four dogs throughout her life that she cherished, she loved her friends and family immensely but most of all she loved God and was a devout catholic her entire life, although she endured many difficult times throughout her life her faith in God never waivered. She was very patriotic and loved her country and always took a great interest in politics and the judicial system and was very proud of her grandfather who was a judge in Iowa.
She lived the majority of her life in Orange County California before moving to Big Bear to live out her final months with her daughter Ronda as she became very ill and was no longer able to care for herself. Sadly she passed away on March 3, 2016, her daughter Ronda, brother Marc and family were at her side.
Her father whom she cherished passed away when she was just 16 years old, her remains will be buried with her beloved dad in a family plot in Dubuque, Iowa at Mt. Calvary Catholic Cemetery
