Kenneth H. Taylor
91, died Oct. 17, 2019 in the comfort of his home in Sugarloaf California with family by his side.
He was born Jan 31, 1928 in Oquaka Illinois. The son of Regie and Dinie Taylor.
He is preceded in death by his wife Elizabeth Taylor of Sugarloaf California, his brother William “Bill” Taylor of Bradford Illinois and sister Irene Muckey of Toulon Illinois.
Ken graduated from high school in Stark County Illinois. He married Elizabeth on September 15, 1951 in Kewanee Illinois and celebrated 60 years of marriage before her death in 2011.
He worked over 35 years for Crenshaw Motors in L.A. where he was an award winning Ford Service Manager. Along with his wife, they raised their family in Carson California, and moved to Big Bear California after his retirement in 1992.
He loved off roading and was happiest in a dune buggy on a dirt trail. He was a past volunteer for COP in Big Bear. He was loved by all that knew him and made friends wherever he went. He will be forever remembered for his sense of humor.
Kenneth is survived by his children Michael of Lakewood Calif and his wife Teresa. His daughter Michelle Efraim of Sugarloaf Calif and her husband Ronen. 3 grandchildren, Jozette and Scott Taylor, Kenny Efraim, and 4 great grandchildren. Kaylee, Reese, Tristan and Logan.
The Taylor and Efraim families would like to thank everyone who helped us during this difficult time.
We’d like to extend our deepest thanks and love to Arlene Long for the care and love she showed our Dad.
We would also like to thank everyone at Big Bear Hospice for their caring and compassion.
