Cheryl Badham Donohoe, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, Gigi, sister, and
friend, passed away peacefully at her home in Big Bear Lake, California on
December 4, 2025. She was 76 years old.
Cheryl was born on December 31, 1948, in Los Angeles, California to Edward
Dick Badham and Virginia Evelyn Dabney Badham. She grew up on Lido Isle
in Newport Beach, where she enjoyed an idyllic coastal childhood and met the
love of her life, William Albert Donohoe, at just 13 years old. Their young love
grew into a lifelong partnership, and they were married on June 16, 1966.
Together Cheryl and Bill built a beautiful life centered around family. They
settled in Lake Forest, California, where they raised their three children: Gina
Donohoe Freem(Mitchell), William Albert Donohoe Jr., and Brian James
Donohoe/Carrie). Cheryl devoted her early years wholeheartedly to being a
stay-at-home mother, creating a home filled with love, laughter, traditions, and
unwavering support. When her youngest reached high school, she began
working at Landmark Bank, where her warmth and friendly nature quickly
made her cherished by coworkers and customers alike.
Cheryl's greatest joy was always her family. She treasured her role as "Mom,"
later "Grandma, " and proudly "Gigi." Her grandchildren - Mitchell Freem
IV, Garrett Michael Donohoe, Zachary David Fick, Kayla Rose Burleson,
Matthew Ryan Freem, Heather Lynne Donohoe, Ashley Nicole Donohoe, Jenna
Nicole Freem, and Rebecca Carroll Glass - were the light of her life. She was
also blessed with three great-grandchildren: Kaislee Marie Donohoe, Elizabeth
Rose Donohoe, and Daniel Asher Burleson, who brought her endless pride and
happiness.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her sisters Beverly Anderson and
Marilyn Martin. She is survived by her loving sister Patricia Tilton, her devoted
husband Bill, her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, extended
family, and countless dear friends.
Cheryl was a friend to many and lived life with enthusiasm and heart. She loved
adventure and never turned down an opportunity for jim - whether it was
camping trips, road trips, beach days, lively game nights, or time spent with her
beloved dogs. Her laughter was contagious, her kindness genuine, and her
presence unforgettable.
In retirement, Cheryl and Bill fulfilled their dream of living in Big Bear Lake,
surrounded by the mountains and nature she adored. They spent their days
boating, entertaining family and friends, and soaking in the beauty and peace
that brought her so much happiness.
Cheryl's legacy is one of love, warmth, joy, and devotion. She leaves behind a
family bound tightly by the care she poured into them and memories that will be
treasured forever.
"She will be deeply missed and forever loved".
