Eric Corwin Knapp was born on May 27th, 1948 in Van Nuys California to Corwin and June Knapp. The middle of 3 children, Eric was a devoted Christian who loved the Lord and dedicated most of his later life to serving God.
In his early adult years, Eric served in the US Army and came home a war hero and a 4 bronze star recipient.
He moved to Big Bear in the 80s where he would eventually meet the love of his life Linda. He was commonly known as the best drywall hanger in town. After retiring, he dedicated most of his free time to socializing with people in his community and sharing God's love with believers and non-believers alike, he was always eager to share the poem he wrote.
"Off in the distance, there's a sound drawing near.
The trumpets are sounding, it all seems quite clear.
The armies are forming, the battle has begun,
if you have the lord Jesus you've already won."
In addition to proudly sharing his poem he loved giving out love letters from Jesus to all the people he came in contact with.
Eric is survived by his wife Linda Knapp, his younger brother Brian Knapp and his 7 children- Scott Knapp, Adam Knapp, Erica Doldo, Michael Hendon, Pamela Neumeister, Michael Knapp, and Ellie Knapp and 15 grandchildren.
